CHIPPING DRILLS

Short Game Circuit

3ft Chipping Circle

3ft Chipping Circle

  • Set up multiple stations around the green (e.g., chipping, pitching, putting) and spend a few minutes at each.
  • This simulates real-course conditions and helps with transitioning between different types of shots.

  • Place a circle of tees or use a chalk line to create a 3-foot radius around a hole on the practice green.
  • From various distances and lies around the green, chip the ball trying to land it within the 3-foot circle.
  • Challenge yourself to land 5 consecutive chips within the circle before moving on.

Chipping Against the Clock

Chipping Against the Clock

  • Set a timer for 1 minute and see how many successful chip shots you can make to a specific target.
  • This helps with focus and pressure handling

One-Handed Chipping

Chipping Against the Clock

Chipping Against the Clock

  • Practice chipping using only your lead hand (left hand for right-handed golfers, and vice versa).
  • This helps develop better feel and control.

Need a Hand?

These drills are designed to target the key components of your short game: accuracy, distance control, and confidence. By incorporating these drills into your practice routine, you'll build a more reliable and effective short game, leading to lower scores and more enjoyable rounds. If you don't see a difference, it may be time for a customized short game analysis.
